Q. I have never done yoga before can I still attend class?
A. Women often try yoga for the first time during
pregnancy and it is an ideal time to start. Yoga for Pregnancy classes
are tailored to the pregnant body and are easily managed by all levels
of fitness and experience.
Q. When can I start?
A. The class is suitable for all women from 12 weeks
of pregnancy through to birth.
Q. My baby is due very soon is it too late to start?
A. Its never too late to start, even in a few classes
you can benefit from yoga and learn something useful.
Q. I am not planning a natural birth and have decided to opt for pain
relief/ I am having a c section - are the classes really for me?
A. Yoga for pregnancy has many benefits for you and
your unborn child and can help enhance your experience of pregnancy.
The breathing and relaxation techniques learned in the class can be
used in a wide variety of situations and are invaluable tools for
every mum to be.
Q. What should I wear to class
A. Wear loose, comfortable clothing – layers
which are easy to take on off will allow you to be as comfortable
as possible throughout the class. Yoga practise is done with bare
feet.
Q. Do I need to bring anything
A. Everything you need such as mats, blankets, pillows
etc.. are provided.. if you have favourite shawl you wish to use during
relaxation you may want to bring this.
